MacDermid Alpha HF-850 solder wire is halogen and halide-free, No-Clean solder wire.
Alpha HF-850 is very fast wetting and easily spreads solder wire, with a very low chance of solder or flux splattering.
The halogen- and halide-free composition makes HF-850 solder wire safe and more environmentally friendly.
The flux in the HF-850 wire is classified as IPC class ROL0, and the No-Clean flux residues are electrochemically very reliable, passing the JIS, IPC, and Bellcore SIR tests.
The HF-850 is available in several different solders:
- SAC305 electronics industry standard solder, which has the best solderability.
- SACX0307 Low Silver solder offers a cost-effective alternative with better drop shock performance and is more environmentally friendly than SAC305.
- Innolot is a special solder for applications requiring high thermomechanical reliability. It is widely used in electronics manufacturing for the automotive industry.
- Sn63Pb37 lead solder for special applications.
Key Features of HF-850 solder wire:
- Very fast wetting and good spread characteristics.
- User-friendly, low tin or flux splattering, low amount of fumes.
- It is safe to use and environmentally friendly and contains no added halogens or halides.
- Flux residues are electrochemically safe and do not remain sticky.
- Residues are electrochemically compatible with many Alpha solder pastes and liquid fluxes.
- Excellent joint appearance for easy inspection
- The possibility of using several different solders, including the high-reliability Innolot solder.
